The ”la Caixa” Group's commitment

”la Caixa” volunteers take part in supportive actions aimed mainly at vulnerable people or those at risk of social exclusion. The institution promotes people's commitment to society through current and retired employees, customers, friends and family.
”la Caixa” volunteers, among the most active in Spain.
31 delegations throughout the country who, together, prioritise and carry out different actions.
The association has increased the number of activities by more than 40% in recent years.

Achievements in 2019

With the motto "Much more than one day", on International Volunteer Day in 2019 ”la Caixa” organised recreational, artistic, cultural and environmental workshops animated by volunteers to contribute to the development and integration of children at risk of poverty or social exclusion. This action was carried out jointly in 42 towns and cities throughout Spain, with the participation of more than 1,000 volunteers, 5,577 children and 219 social organisations.
