Direct local social action
An organisation for direct local social action that fights against poverty and social exclusion in the district of Ciutat Vella in Barcelona.
Actions are carried out with the help of 69 people (27 employees and 42 volunteers) who have supported the different projects.
The Foundation has helped to improve the educational and emotional situation of 182 children (aged from 0 to 16).
La Casa de Recés supports and houses vulnerable women aged from 18 to 35.
This annual report explains the link between the programmes of ”la Caixa” Foundation and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

Achievements in 2019
The new building in Plaça Sant Just was inaugurated in 2019. The extension of the space has led to an increase in the number of activities and the assistance provided to families, as well as improving networking among social organisations in the area.
