RESEARCH, FELLOWSHIPS AND INNOVATION

Fellowships

”la Caixa” Foundation promotes talented researchers

Since 1982, ”la Caixa” Foundation has provided fellowships to carry out postgraduate studies abroad and for doctoral and postdoctoral work in Spain and, since 2019, also in Portugal.

In order to enhance researchers' professional development and improve their career opportunities, the fellowships include workshops on technology transfer, professional development and multidisciplinary skills. The sessions are given by leading companies in these fields.
Incoming fellowships are aimed at attracting talent to Spanish and Portuguese research centres that have been certified as excellent.
Retaining fellowships aim to keep the top researchers from all disciplines who want to carry out their work in Spain or Portugal.

This annual report explains the link between the programmes of ”la Caixa” Foundation and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
