Bringing art, science and culture to citizens

”la Caixa” Foundation has developed a unique model, recognised worldwide, that turns knowledge into a means of transforming society, bringing culture and science closer to as many people as possible.
The two exhibition formats used are Temporary Units and Art in the Street.
The wide range of exhibitions is complemented by a series of related educational and social activities.
Thanks to collaboration agreements with local governments throughout the territory, the travelling exhibitions visit different cities and municipalities.

Achievements in 2019

”la Caixa” Foundation launched two new projects in 2019: “Leonardo. Observe, Question, Experiment” and “Land of Dreams”.

The first invites visitors to observe, question and experiment based on Leonardo's most essential feature: his insatiable curiosity.

The second project forms part of the Art in the Street initiative, bringing together a series of works by Cristina García Rodero, winner of the national photography prize.
