”la Caixa” Foundation's Employment Integration Programme acts as a bridge between social organisations and companies, helps to raise awareness, actively seeks out employment opportunities and promotes social responsibility in companies.

Achievements in 2019

In 2019, the ”la Caixa” Youth Employment programme, co-financed by the European Social Fund and "la Caixa" Foundation, completed a call for applications aimed at companies that hire young people aged between 16 and 29. More than 1,800 young people have been able to get stable, good quality employment.

The programme has increased the number of social organisations in charge of promoting employment by socially responsible Portuguese companies.

Those at risk are young NEETs (not in education, employment or training), unemployed people over 45, former inmates, recovering drug addicts, victims of domestic violence and people with disabilities. The programme is implemented in collaboration with the Instituto do Emprego e Formação de Portugal.
