RESEARCH, FELLOWSHIPS AND INNOVATION

”la Caixa”
Social Observatory

A benchmark in contributing diagnostics on the situation of society

This completes a series of reports on social needs in Spain, whose research goal has been to identify the social needs of the Spanish population with most impact on individual well-being. A report on basic income has also been published, containing an analysis by a dozen experts on the social situation in Spain.

Access to housing for the most vulnerable people is the focus of the new dossier published in 2019 by the ”la Caixa” Social Observatory: Housing, a right or market?.
The housing dossier examines the residential insecurity of the most vulnerable groups and the ability of young people to get a home of their own.
The report on basic income analyses the capacity of existing aid and subsidies to guarantee a minimum income for all citizens.

This annual report explains the link between the programmes of ”la Caixa” Foundation and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
