15 years

CosmoCaixa, whose goal is to promote social progress by popularising science through scientific and cultural activities, has celebrated its 15th anniversary, firmly establishing its position as Spain's leading science museum.
In 2019 the centre was given the Good Practice in Environmental Sustainability Award by the Barcelona Tourist Board.
Thanks to an interactive approach, visitors can touch, experience and get closer to science in an educational but also enjoyable way.
CosmoCaixa has 54,000 m² of space devoted to raising awareness of science and knowledge.

Achievements in 2019
New Universe Room
The Universe Room represents the heart of the museum, a place that concentrates scientific experience from the Big Bang to the latest frontiers of knowledge. The remodelling of the permanent hall has provided a new look that will enable the museum to continue as an international benchmark in the field of science and research, reflecting more than thirty-eight years of history.
